Ning is a 1,200 SF conversion of two Battery Park City apartments into a dynamic three bedroom living space for a young family.
The main space can be separated into separate adult and kid zones by large sliding panels. A hidden guest bedroom and home office are tucked away adjacent to the living room.
The kitchen features an island with a pull out table that extends to seat ten for holiday gatherings.
A small bathroom has become a spa-like master bath clad in limestone tile with a wood slat ceiling. One corner of the master bedroom folds open to reveal a miniature dressing room/closet with ample shoe and clothing storage with a full mirror.
Hidden LED lighting helps create a sense of expansiveness throughout the apartment. LED-illuminated clerestories flank the main living space. LED strip lights concealed behind roller-shades at the top of the window openings make the windows seem larger.
The interiors of the extensive custom cabinetry is lined with lush walnut. A palette of white walls, gray floors, ash upper kitchen cabinets and gray lower cabinets create a sense of calm.
